Ametek Gemco 955D-RS BRIK Gen III Linear Displacement Transducer - RS422 Start/Stop Pulse Digital Output (Special Order)

Uses Ametek's field proven magnetostrictive technology to give absolute position, repeatable to .006% of the programmable sensing distance.
The 955D-RS is a digital output Linear Displacement Transducer (LDT) in a low profile extruded aluminum package. This transducer uses Ametek's field proven magnetostrictive technology to give absolute position, repeatable to .006% of the programmable sensing distance. The Ametek 955 series has an auto tuning feature that allows it to sense a magnet other than the standard slide magnet and adjust its signal strength accordingly.
The 955D start/stop pulse system generates digital outputs over an RS-422 line. The transducer uses a recommended one microsecond minimum interrogation input to start a cycle based on the interrogation input. It generates (2) one microsecond return pulses with the time differential between the leading edge of those pulses proportional to the position of the magnet.

A complete system normally requires the following components:
- 955D transducer
- Magnet (purchased separately)
- Cable Assembly (purchased separately)
- Mounting feet (purchased separately). It is recommended to use one mounting foot at each end and one every three feet between.
