Linear Displacement Transducer (LDT) with an analog output, in a low profile extruded aluminum package. Pictured with SD0521800 slide magnet (not included). Uses Ametek's field proven magnetostrictive technology to give absolute position, repeatable to .006% of the programmable sensing distance.
The 955A is a Linear Displacement Transducer (LDT) with an analog output, in a low profile extruded aluminum package. This transducer uses Ametek's field proven magnetostrictive technology to give absolute position, repeatable to .006% of the programmable sensing distance. The Ametek 955 series has an auto tuning feature that allows it to sense a magnet other than the standard slide magnet and adjust its signal strength accordingly.

A complete system normally requires the following components:
- 955A transducer
- Magnet (purchased separately)
- Cable Assembly (purchased separately)
- Mounting feet (purchased separately). It is recommended to use one mounting foot at each end and one every three feet between.
